Austin Dog Bark Park

Yep, I'm back in Austin hanging out with Karla and having a good time getting domesticated. Sorry about the lack of blogging lately. It is definitely not from a lack of pictures or good times, but more of a technical problem. My computer received a virus a while back and decided to poop out, so now I am ready to blog once again with my new Mac. Only if I could ever figure it out. Not too sure what my plans are as things with work have changed recently. Check back for more posts very soon!!

Panamania!!

This is where I'm at. Just outside of Panama City which you can see in the background. We will be going through the panama canal in a few days and apparently there is a web cam where you can watch us. I'll get the address and find out when. I haven't seen much of the country yet. I've been here for three days and haven't left the marina. It gets dark about a hour after I get off work. Not quite used to working on boats yet. My feet were pretty sore after today.

Market Days

Markets are always the first thing I like to check out when I get to a new city. You can really get a feel for the culture through its vendors selling its food and goods. You never know what you are going to find in a Mexican market. Oaxaca City was no different. Local delicacies included BBQ grasshoppers and every part of the cow and pig. The fruit and veg were amazing include tons of mangos, which were in season.

There are 10 different varieties of mangos in Mexico, and I tried every type.

Here is a quick sequence of me being a wuss. I should of pulled into the barrel of this wave and shot out claiming it to all the boys. Instead I got photos of a wave that I wasn't to sure if they were even worthy of the blog. Ha. Enjoy.

Austin Lovin'

The last two months in Austin has been amazing. It seems like fun follows Karla and I wherever we go. For those of you that haven't heard the news, Keith has a girlfriend and I couldn't be more happy about it. Karla and I went to high school together but never realized what was there until 7 years had passed and we had reconnected over sushi and pool. Our relationship would make a great movie so far with Austin as a beautiful backdrop. Monday nights at TC's, afternoons at Barton Springs, watching great live music, and romantic dinners at Luby's are only a small few of the memories we have made so far. We call ourselves weird, because our relationship has been like nothing either of us have experienced before.
