Afternoon on the Rocks

This was a typical afternoon when the surf was small and we had the energy to walk down to the jetties. The lagoon was full of fish and when the tide was right, the fishing was on. We caught our dinner often. Rosario would cook us a mean meal for 30 pesos (about $2.75), when we provided the meat.

Cocineros might be small but very tasty.

Chorro and I with a nasty jack.

We made the mistake of giving Rosario a big jack. The pescadillas were a little too fishy for about a month.

Pargo y mucho cocineros.

Turloch with a cold beverage.

Chorro and Fred catching bait.

mmmm...
